I've been thinking and have realized that you contracted HIV before Freddie Mercury and he died in 1991 of it. Plus Freddie Mercury was rich and could have afforded all the meds neccesary to keep him alive for much longer. How is it that you are doing so well and Freddie Mercury died within a few years of being diagnosed? I'm happy for you and everything, I'm glad you're around and I hope you'll be here for a lot longer. What's your secret, how do you do so well when a lot of people don't?

Sorry to peek in but medically speaking, there are some people who's immune system can give a longer stand to the virus dan others. There a lot of people who have been infected in 1882 - 85 and still going great . Unlike some ppl who start meditating immediately(offcourse depending upon CD4 and viral load) after diagnosis,   there are exceptions of 82-85 infected people who dint start their medication untill 2003-05......

For one I was a LTNP where as my CD4 level never dropped. They didn't drop for almost 21 years. Freddie, didn't have the availability to all the medications that we have today. Money isn't a factor when it comes to getting medication in the US, if you need medication there is a way to get it. It may take some time but you will get your medication. I have one new drug that the government nor ADAP would not pay for and it runs 3600 a month and I'll be on it the rest of my life. The manufacture sends me the medication at no cost. As for why am I doing so well? I'm just surviving just like everyone else.
