Testing Antibody (4 Gen) at 7.5 weeks

Sorry if this has been asked multiple times but just to make sure:

I had a negative test at 7.5 weeks post a low risk activity for HIV.  It was conducted at a public lab in Canada.  I was told it is 4th generation ELISA antibody test.

Can I move on?  Your help is appreciated.

There is no doubt that a negative DUO at 4 weeks+ is an excellent result but it's not 100% conclusive.

Believe the manufacturers of the tests--they say 3 months.

could care less what you "believe".

there are no tests APPROVED to give a conclusive test result earlier than 3 months post exposure.

I know I Know, they have said that for years, also the antigen part of a DUO will still remain dectable at around 5 weeks but at 6 weeks it's just more practicle to have a simple antibody test. But 3 months is when you must have that final test.

I know that.He made a mistake, either he had a DUO or an antibody test.If it was a DUO it's 99% reliable at 4 weeks. He left out the antigen part.

No you can't move on--3 months is conclusive but your result thus far is highly unlikely to change.
