Viral load in female squirt

Hi, I was with a female who squirted.   A little bit got into my eye.  I rinsed the eye with hot water but may be not very thoroughly.   She said she had a test 2 months ago and she was alright.  I think she had no symptoms in the period after the test either.   What are the chances of infection from this episode ?

Here is a quote from our Dr. HHH on the Exprt Forum regarding semen in the eye, which would be comparable to a woman's genital secretions getting into the eye.:

"There are no data on the risk of HIV from semen exposure to the eyes.  However, among the millions of people with HIV world wide, nobody has been known or suspected to have caught HIV from semen in the eye.  "

You have nothing to worry about.  Put this behind you and move on.

Thanks.  The medics say it is a theoretical possibility.  What is CDC ?

Correct. No Known cases of transmission from such an incident. The medical experts can make such claims but they can't substantiate them. The CDC has no documented cases of ejaculate in the eyes.

Thanks for the reply, it is reassuring, but I am puzzled.  I read elsewhere by medical experts that contact of body fluids with mucous membranes is dangerous.  The eye is mentioned as a mucous membrane.   Yet, you are dismissing the chance of infection as negligible, assuming the person was positive.  Is this based on evidence that there are no known cases of infection through male or female ejaculate in the eye ?

There has never been a case of HIV transmission in such a manner and the viral load in female ejaculate would be low.The chances that she has HIV are close to zero anyway, not that it matters because it's no risk like I said. What happened in your encounter is clearly not a mode of HIV transmission. You're safe.

Thanks for such a quick reply.  It is very comforting.  We know semen has high concentraion after blood, so I thought it would be risky to get it in the eye.  Are they not cases of transmission this way ?  Anyway, in my case it was female ejaculate.  Does any one know how the viral load in that compares with others ?

The chances of HIV transmission are zero just as they are if a woman gets ejaculate in her eye.The modes of HIV transmission are--unprotected penetrative vaginal or anal sex--sharing IV drug works--needlestick injuries from healthcare settings and from infected mother to baby and that's it.
