WANT TO CLOSE THE DOOR TO THIS CHAPTER

I got a ** from an escort. I did not see any blood present or any reason to believe after I was exposed to blood in her mouth.  I am concerned most about my health.  I visited a clinic more than 96 hours later and they did run test on my urine and blood I was negative for gon, and chlamydia and the VDRL was non-reactive.  They gave me doxy as a precaution for syp and said that if I per chance somehow had the others doxy likely would be effective  They told me 6-8 weeks later to have another VDRL. My first HIV test in a NYC clinic where I had to give blood at the same time as rapid gum swipe The test was negative 35 days I did another gum swipe in a clinic in Fl 65 days negative  did another VDRL at 7 weeks, and that was negative so i believe that I never got syphillis. Final HIV test at 90 days which I gave a spec of blood for. Negative. I believe that this negative at 90 days clears me.

the clinic in NY as well as the other one I gave blood (vial)  for testing in was not the cleanest of place there is no chance they did not follow protocols on clean needles is there? what about labcorp where my VDRL was done?

does the combo of the two negative VDRL mean I in fact do not and never had Syphillis.

Is there any reason to redo the gon and chl. tests if they were done at proper time?

If HIV was ever something for me to worry about given my "risk"  can I totally 100% know for sure without a doubt I am free from worry with a negative 90 day rapid test or would I need a lab based blood test to know this.

with the negative 90 day can I resume sexual contact with a steady girlfriend who is definitely negative and disease free?   Is there any reason for me as a 32 year old healthy male no diseases or immune problems to test out to 180 days?   I have not had any sex since this event , gave the blood at the lab and clinics as mentioned if that is a risk of any kind,  apologies in advance if thats the dumbest thing you have ever heard.

Thanks

Wow,  I checked the story you reference and there are a lot of similarities.  I did not hear from you all day so I took probably the best advice I see you give which is to go see the doctor you had been tested by.  The answers I needed were given to me and they welcome my return should I have any questions. I do not see why I would be banned but do what you want to do as I have the answer and have no intent of being this foolish again and taking these kinds of risks the pressure and anxiety is too much for my taste.  Thanks for the advice you did give to me.

Unless there is an unlikely coincidence, you are the same person as kissedagirl1 who asked similar questions a day or two ago on the STD Forum.  That's against MedHelp rules.  I'm going to delete this thread and will ask MedHelp administration to ban both usernames, unless you want to make the case that these two virtually identical stories are just a coincidence.

Did I need to to take another VDRL/RPR test I had one at 7 weeks negative and like I mentioned above I had treatment with doxy for a week, I read one of your other posts on here trying to find that answer and the closest I got was doxycycline is effective within hours of the first dose......does that mean if I was exposed I did not get it because of the doxy? was one week enough?  If you are negative for syph. at 6 or 7 weeks does that mean you never contracted it? I think I read Syp. tests would remain positive if ever contracted for at least a year.  Was I contagious in any way? when was it safe to have sex? Thanks for the info......I was traveling and could not get back on here to wrap this up.

Hi,

Thanks for the answers the anxiety has been lifted, this gal I am with could be the one this would be a terrible step in the wrong direction had I had some explaining to do.  My compliments on your service, compassion and good work.

You had a low risk event, since oral sex uncommonly results in STD and virtually never transmits HIV.  You did not need HIV testing at all.  Yes, you can be "...totally 100% know for sure without a doubt I am free from worry with a negative 90 day rapid test...."  You do not need any further testing for either HIV or other STDs.
