Youneed to be tested, not to continue asking silly, un-founded questions.  Your questions are anxiety-driven and are a waste of your time to address.  You need to be tested and put your concerns behind you.  You may also need mental health counseling to assist you in dealing with your unwarranted anxiety.  This thread is over.  Any further questions will be deleted as well.  EWH

I will not describe the sorts of problems that occur at different stages of HIV. There are books written on these subjects.  You don't need an answer so that you can go on wondering if you have HIV-related disease.  You need to be tested for HIV.  Stop playing around, get the test and find out that you do not have HIV.  EWH

Hi thx for the answer to be sure ks dosent appear on you until 10 years after you get the infection? Since you said For KS to occur the immunosuppression must be very advanced so does that there are really bad signs before it occurs could you give some examples? Would really appricate a answer so I dont have to be checking my body all the time until I get tested and drive my self crazy. I like too know so I can learn and is it possible too live a long normal life after you had hiv for 5 or 6 years or is it too late?

HIV related immunosuppression increases with time.  For KS to occur the immunosuppression must be very advanced.  This takes, on average 10 or more years to occur.

KS is an opportunistic infection related to the presence of a virus called HHV-8 which is seen almost exclusively in men who have sex with other men..

Your GF is wrong.  Oral sex is very, very low risk, swallowing or not.  No information on how much not swallowing reduces risk.  EWH,

yo

It is hard to tell exactly what your question is but it seems to be are you at risk for having gotten HIV 5 years ago and could it have lead to Kaposi's Sarcoma.  The answer is that your risk is very low and that you need to get tested to give yourself peace of mind instead of worrying about the possibility of infection until some arbitrary date.  There is NO reason not to get tested, particularly if you are worried about the possible result. The most likely outcome of getting tested is that you will find that you are not infected and can stop worrying.  In the unlikely situation that you are infected, you could get treated which would control HIV and allow you to live a normal life.  The only thing you should not do is wait until later to get tested.  I makes no sense.

As to why I say that you are not at risk, here are the reasons:
1. Your partner was probably not infected.  Most women, even those who have sex for money, do not have HIV.
2.  You were partially protected by the condom for at least part of your exposure.  In addition, the exposure was brief.
3.  If she was infected and if you had not used a condom at all, your risk of getting HIV from a single vaginal exposure is less than 1 infection in 1000 sex acts.

Finally, looking for KS is a waste of time.  It is almost never a result of heterosexually acquired HIV and typically takes more than 10 years after infection to appear.

Bottom line.  You are very unlikely to be infected.  Get tested now so that you can put this behind you and move on with your life.  EWH
