There is no reason to be tested until at least 4 weeks after your exposure. A test at four weeks will be at the time when 75-80% of all tests that are going to be positive will be. That information, combined with the VERY low risk of your exposure will make it far more likely that you will be struck by lightening that that you have HIV. Waiting until 8 weeks will give you a result at a time when 98-99% of tests that are going to be positive will be. EWH
Whomever told you yuour risk was 50/50 last night mislead you. The risk of getting HIV through oral sex are less than 1 in 10,000 and the risk when a properly used condom is used is near zero. You have nothing to worry about. Your sore throat is almost certainly a summer cold, not ARS. Please don't worry, you did not get HIV from the exposure you describe. EWH

Thank u Doctor and last question would u advise me too get tested and if so how long should i wait to do so?The reason why i ask that is cus she says get tested often cus in a open relationship with her boyfriend.Her boyfriend is bisexual and he also gets checked often so i don't know if this changes my odds at all if any?Thank u again for all the hard work that u do.
I also forgot too mention the encounter took place 6 days ago and i have a sore throat and also have not been sleeping good at all.I don't know if these a signs of HIV or if i making this out worst then it really is.I was also tested in early july and i was clean this was my only sexual encounter since then.So any advise from u i would be so greatful.
