What is my risk?

Im scared, I went to Tijuana 2 weeks ago and solicited sex from a sex server at a very popular bar (Adelitas). I used a condom, im circumcised and I did not have anything to drink. Its been two weeks and yesterday I had night sweats and i have been urinating every 2 hours (urine is completly clear, very transparent and there is no pain while urinating). what are my odds of getting HIV assuming that the sex worker is HIV positive? someone help me.

Thanks Doc. just wanted to make sure that the frequent urination is not an attempt from my body to eliminate the virus.

It really is not your job to figure out of you have swollen lymph nodes or not and what to do if they are.  I say this because there are so many possibilities.  This, like your symptoms should be sorted out with the assistance of a health care provider.  To do otherwise, particularly when working under the "cloud" of anxiety fueled by too much internet access (you can get as much or more misinformation from the net as you can correct information and sorting out which is which is difficult) is really asking for trouble.  Night sweats and frequent urination or the perception of frequent urination can certainly be anxiety driven.  EWH

Thank you very much for your answer, its comforting to know this. I have been very paranoid and anxious, I have been taking my temperature and trying to feel my lymph nodes for inflamation. It gets to the point that i don't know if im imagening symptoms or they are really happening. I don't even know how to tell if my lymph nodes are swollen. Do you think the night sweats and the frequent urination are from anxiety?

If your partner had HIV (this is unlikely unless there is something you have not told me), and if you had not used a condom, your risk of getting HIV would be 1 in 1,000 exposures.  Proper condom use provides 99% protection above that. Thus, if your partner had HIV, your risk from the single exposure you describe is about 1 in 100,000.  EWH
