HIV PEP treatment required or Not?

I had a sex with a Spa Girl. She heard the condom broke, and immediately in hurry I removed the condom. I Changed with new one and didn't have sex further. I didn't check if it was broke or slipped etc. I saw some liquid on top of my penis and I got scared. I am not sure if the liquid was on penis without condom after broke or on penis with covered with condom. As I didn't check if it was broke. I am confused if I did sex with broken condom or not. I may be if it was broken. Doctor asked me to start with PEP next day of exposure. Now, I got ELISA test done for the girl for HIV. She is negative. I also did PCR RNA test in which the result are at less window period. The result will be coming on Tuesday next weem. After all this scenario I don't know if I really need PEP

If the condom broke it would be a large rip down the seam and it would hang in tatters so both of you would notice that. It wouldn't be easy to change a broken condom either. You don't mention that happening so are you saying you think it broke just because of a noise the spa girl heard?
If the condom didn't break then you should not be taking PEP, especially since she is negative and her only chance of being positive would be in the window period of her test.

My doctor is saying that the ELISA test window period is 2-3 months. In the last 1 month or 10 days if she is exposed than I can be at risk. Regarding first point, you are right codom break will be visible. I am not sure if it was broke or not. I saw liquid and felt it broke so scared. I don't know if was broke or not.
I know my risk of being HIV is very low. Does PCR test can rule anything conclusive..? Should I take medicine till then. Or I should  take a risk of low risk and avoid medication. Of PEP medication is more dangerous to take than low risk case. If it is safe to take with side effects that will go with time, I can continue than. I am not sure way ahead.
If the condom broke it would be a large rip down the seam and it would hang in tatters so both of you would notice that. Your post says it didn't break then the next sentence says you don't know, so you have to make up your mind what happened. If you didn't have a risk then don't take PEP because there are serious permanent risks with that med.
You need a new doctor because those are very old guidelines. 4 weeks is conclusive - except when you use a condom that doesn't break because then you are negative and the test is a waste of time.
I am waiting for reply doctor
Can anyone reply?? If more doctors give opinion I will get more clarity
What is your reply to my question about you providing clarity on what happened. Did the condom hang in tatters which would make it hard to take off?
hIV RNA test is also negative. There is no load detected. Can any one guide further what should I do.
There is very important information missing in all of this, so please start over and answer these questions:
1)  What date was this event?
2)  What date did you take your last dose of PEP?
3)  What date did you test?
Event was on 17 this month. Medicine started on 18 next day. Both Test was done on 19.
Last dose taken yesterday. I feel I should quit. As there are very very very low risk almost negligible now. So need any better suggestions.
Please reply as soon as possible.
No tatter and difficulty in removing.
There are no tests that you can take that will be reliable or conclusive until a month after you have taken your last dose of PEP.  PEP is usually reserved for individuals who have had an encounter with someone who is confirmed to be HIV+.  The choice whether to continue taking it is yours alone.
I have done test for my partner not mine. She is not taking medicine . Please guide
Not confirmed HIV+ as her test results shown. But she works in spa so it is scary if the window period the tests covered is enough
Kindly advice as soon as possible
It's confirmed for her tests she is not positive
Do you advice to take medicine. It's difficult to completely confirm if someone is positive or not. But both her test ELISA and PCR rNA is negative.
As you were advised, you can test a month after your last dose of PEP - whether you choose to stop taking it now or finish the entire course is a decision only you can make.  You should not rely on someone else's HIV tests to determine your own status, as you do not know the entire sexual history of this partner.
There is nothing else that our members can say about this event and testing.
