genital flat liquen and oral sex

Hello Doctor.

I have 3 questions,,
1., will a patch of eczema or genital flat liquen,,( i hope thats the way its called in english), with no visible cracks or openings, increase the risk from receipient oral sex?    I ask about both as I went to the dermatologist yesterday and she wasnt sure which one I have.

2., is there any risk if after mutual masturbation I have a small amount of vaginal fluid or pre *** (not ***) and pick my nose?  are the mucus membrans on the eyes and nose the same? I think not, as any soap or anything on the eyes will sting a lot , and no soap or something like that will sting in my nose.

3. what would be your risk estimate if I get oral from a csw with the patch or one of this things, when the csw agrees to get tested the morning of the same day? I know she could be in her window period but I think that would be remote!  and I have seen for what I read in the forum that you are not a clinitian but a health expert with a great knowledge in stadistics.

I started reading and I am sure there are answers for my second question but every time I read the forum I get my questions answered but get new doubts so I will really apreciate if I can get answers to my specific questions so I get no  more doubts.

Thankyou very much again Doctor

Your first question has been answered.  No risk.

As for the second question, HIV blood tests are typically postive a week after the onset of the ARS. this will end this thread.  No further questions please.  EWH

Hello Doctor

I hope you can answer this 2 questions I have

1. I hired the CSW,,, I recieved unprotected oral,,, as I told you I have a patch of eczema, and I had not noticed any openings or cuts.

The thing is the next day at night I noticed a very small scab on the eczema,,, so I am almost sure that at some moment during the oral sex, there must have been a very small opening or cut,,,I know oral receipt of oral sex carries virtually no risk,,, but will this risk be higher if I did get a very small opening on the eczema during the oral sex.

I would think that if the saliva carries no risk even if it gets in the urethra and head of the penis during oral,, the same would be for the small opening,,, but what is your opinion about it?

2. How long after the onset of ARS will a test  usually be positive? of course suposing it really is Ars

Thank you very much again Doctor

Following receipt of oral sex, you are at a small risk for gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU.  You do not need to worry about herpes or syphilis.  EWH

Hello Doctor
Maybe I have to ask this question in the std forum, but it is kind of a continuation of my question number 3, so maybe you can answer it here.
What other stds tests will be good asking for,,, I have read there are several blood tests that its worth doing , so I can ask for them at the same time they do the hiv test,,,, I ask this because I have also read that there are some that even if the blood test result is positive I shouldnt care because a lot lf adults have had them some time in their life.

If this is really the case which blood tests should I order and which ones not?

Thank you

Welcome back to the Forum.  You know how the Forum works so I will go directly to the questions that you have asked.

1.  The presence of eczema or other flat lesions do not increase your risk of HIV from oral sex.  There is virtually no risk of HIV from receipt of oral sex.  The quoted figure for HIV risk, if one has oral sex with an infected partner is less than 1 in 10,000 and, in my estimation that is too high. Some experts state there is no risk at all from oral sex.  Neither of us on this site have ever seen or reading the medical literature of a convincing instance in which HIV was passed by oral sex.  No reason for you to be concerned.

2.  In the course of mutual masturbation it is typical for persons to get each other's genital secretions on one another.  Despite this no one has EVER gotten HIV from mutual masturbation.  Thus statement is true even if you pick your nose with a finger that has a partner's genital secretions on their finger.

3.  The proportion of persons, even if they are CSWs, who are in the "window period" of HIV seroconversion is vanishingly rare.  If you have sex with a partner who has a negative HIV test on the same day as the sexual encounter, there is no realistic risk for HIV.

I hope these comments help.  EWH

just to clarify as english is not my first language,,,,of course in question 2 I ment if the small amount of vaginal fluid is on the finger I use to pick my nose.

and on question 3. where it says with a patch or one of this,,,, it was supposed to say with a patch OF one of this.

THanks Doctor.
