We don't ask very much of users, but I do expect you to read my replies. Whatis not clear about "The duo test is always conclusive at 28 days or more after the last possible exposure to HIV"? That means that you can rely on the test regardless of any symptoms you may have. If they were due to HIV, the test would have been positive.
That's the end of this thread. I won't have any more advice.
Dear doc tnx but plz can you say that fact this is fast. (20 min) test will not reduce conclusive of verdict? And also plz say if simptomas i have was from hiv this test will be poz am i right? Simptomas ia about for2 week
The duo test is always conclusive at 28 days or more after the last possible exposure to HIV. That's why I said there is no need for additional testing.
Doctor hello

Welcome. Actually, this appears to be your first question on this forum. You previously asked teh same question on the HIV prevention community forum. If you in fact have a previous thread on this forum, perhaps it was with a different username. If so, please copy the URL of that discussion and paste into a comment on this one.
I'm happy to confirm the good news you had on the community forum: you were not at risk for HIV from the exposure described, and your negative test results show you were not infected.
One of the most common themes on this forum is that HIV is not transmitted sexually wihtout insertive sex: if a bare penis (no condom) does not enter another person's vagina or rectum (and maybe mouth, but extremely rarely), there is no risk. And condoms work. Thus, your exposure a few weeks ago was risk free. (In addition, it is statistically unlikely your partner had HIV anyway.)
Another theme is that HIV testing always overrules symptoms and exposure history. Some of your symptoms in theory could occur with a new HIV infection but your negative test results are proof against it. Everybody with symptoms of HIV for more than a few days has detectable antibody.
So no worries, no need for further testing, and if you have a regular sex partner, you can safely continue unprotected sex without transmitting HIV. If your various symptoms continue, see a doctor. But you can definitely stop worrying about HIV.
I hope this has helped. Best wishes-- HHH, MD
