Could it be HIV

On Dec 10th I had a 3 some. Protected with the guy and unprotected oral with the girl. mid of Jan was std tested due to pain on my left side (female organs) all tests came back negative. Guess to early.

Mid march found out I was pregnant (nothing to do w/the 12/10 night) and was std tested on 3/27/06.

Miscarried on 4/2/06. Came back positive for Chlamydia 4/4/06. Was put on 2 500mg zithro. Started having tingling and some itching in my gental area for about a week after taking the zithro. Within the same wk of taking the zithro came down with a sinus infection along with two ear infections. Then was put on a z pack for the infections. Couple days after starting the antibotics got a yeast infection that lasted more than a week. I still feel it from time to time. But right after I was done with the z pack started taking probiotics which seemed to help get rid of the yeast infection. I am worried about the yeast infection because it was so intense and took so long to go away and I still feel from time to time. I had a dry cough during all of this but now it is gone. My poop has not been normal it comes out in peices. Have aches in my inner theighs and still get pains from time to time on my left side figuring it is my fallopen tubes. I was just tested again on 4/26/07 for HIV but won't get my results till about May 3rd.
I know you say that with 6wk testing negitive for HIV you can be 100% sure that it is accurate but why do other docs say wait for 6months to a yr? What else could these on going symptoms be. I am not a sickly person and I am really concerned about the yeast infection along with all the other infections. My bowel movements are not normal atleast for me what would make it come out in peices? Are these signs of HIV? Please help I wake up praying that its not HIV and go to sleep praying that its not. I have even started preparing my self for the next test to come back positive.

"What else [other than HIV] could these ongoing symptoms be?"  There must be 100 disorders that could do it; the symtoms do not sound at all like HIV infection, and your blood test shows that HIV cannot be the cause.  One possibility is antibiotics.  Loose and irregular stools are very common after a variety of antibiotics, including azithromycin.

For more information on HIV test timing, read the giant number of threads and my responses both on this forum and especially the STD Forum.  Search the threads and archives for "time to positive HIV test".  But the bottom line is that almost everybody who acquires HIV develops a positive antibody test within 6 weeks.  Some sources continue to say 3 months to be absolutely sure, but it is really rare for a positive result to be delayed that long.

Bottom line:  follow up with your own provider if your symptoms continue.  But stop worrying about HIV; you don't have it.  Best wishes--

Sorry left this part out. To the best of my knowledge the only exposure to the Chlamydia or HIV would be from the 12/10 night. Unless boyfriend was with someone else. Don't think so but look what I did on 12/10 can't trust anyone not even myself! My gut tells me it came from the girl. At the time I didn't know how much she gets around but now I do.
