Nope.  I already said HIV doesn't cause symptoms like your wife's.

That's definitely the end of this thread.  I know you're feeling guilt and shame over a sexual decision you regret, but don't confuse that with HIV risk. They aren't the same.  You really needn't worry.

one final reassurance doctor, please

my wife still has that throat discomfort, ( small irritation , not severe for 6 days, no fever)
since i dint have any risk , i should not worry even my wife  gets fever , and all those ars symptoms, right . forget that condom tear.

Yes.  HIV doesn't cause cold symptoms like nasal congestion, and doesn't clear up in less than 2-3 weeks.

That will end this thread.  Take care.

good day doctor,

my wife is now ok, her symptoms have subsided , no fever , and cold also have reduced substantially in 3 days. throat itching also is better.

these are signs of some common virus . is that correct sir.

thank u very much doctor ,  for u clarification
u r right pointing that my wife has garden variety virus, she did buy some plants on that condom break day and did some gardening. as u said she is having cold and blocked nose, itchy throat and feverish ( no fever yet) .

now i am not worried since u ve said ars wont arise in 2 days. that fact made my mind clear .

once again thank u

Sorry, I misunderstood the timing of your extramarital sexual encounter.  But it does not change my advice.  The event 3 months ago was zero risk, so you can be sure you did not catch HIV.  And as discussed above, 2 days is much too soon after unprotected sex for your wife to develop ARS symptoms.

Even if you had caught HIV, it would not be possible for you to transmit it to your wife two days later; it takes at least a week before the virus can be transmitted.  In addition, 7-10 days is the minimum for onset of ARS symptoms -- so your wife's sore throat etc cannot possibly be due to ARS from an exposure 2 days previously.

You cannot read lists of ARS symptoms and conclude that having such symptoms means a significant risk of ARS.  The symptoms or ARS are identical to those of numerous other medical conditions, most of which are due to garden variety viruses.  That's what your wife has:  a cold.  It has nothing to do with your massage parlor adventure a few days earlier.

So no worries, no need for testing, and no chance of infecting your wife.

Best wishes--  HHH, MD

Welcome to the forum.

Sometimes the title of a question contains all the information necessary for an accurate reply.  In this case, the answer to "Any hiv risk in non penetrative sex?" is no.  HIV is rarely if ever transmitted sexually without penetration of a bare penis (no condom) into another person's vagina or rectum.

More details following your follow-up questions below.
