i call the hospital up and they say that they break the seal in front of the patient they say that i might have not seen it they said if you man to come down to the hospital and that i can inspect their equipment. i saw it clearly there was no blood on the syringe the cap was on thats it and the needle of the syringe was disposed infront of me i am really going mad because of the swollen gland
What is going to stop you from thinking your next test that same thing with the needle. This is not a testing situation but a therapist situation.
i am going to get test anyways to get some peace of mind and i will definitely tell you the 32 day HIV DUO result messed up thing is it my birthday today and i have to think of this HIV thing again very sad i know and my wish is that my hiv DUo test is negative the one and only wish. anyways teak i will inform you and you guys a really doing a great job gob bless you all cheers
Again, you never had an exposure.
normally for HIV do you get visible swollen lump nodes and normally do you get more that 1 visible swollen lumpnodes
in my country there have been no such cases where a person has got hiv from a blood test but the only case was like 10 to 15 years back where infected blood transfusion took place. i call up the hospital they said all the equipment they use to draw blood is disposable and not to worry nothing like that will happen
the cap was on i dont know whether it was sealed or not but a transparent green colour cap was on the needle part to prevent accidental nuries and he disposed of the needle in front of me
thanks bro i understand your argument the chances of geting HIV from blood drawn are in 2012 are equal to lighting coming and striking you, it just that i have got it and on 26 or jan i will just get another HIV DUO DONE and then if it is not the case i will got to a doctor about the lump and a mental doctor about my fear
The only exception where you could contract Hiv from getting blood drawn is in AFRICA and there have been substantiated cases.
This is irrational thinking.
BTW, MANY times, items for phlebotomy are not indivually packaged and wrapped. They come in large boxes with a sealed cap, therefore you wouldn't necessarily notoce anything being unwrapped.
You don't get infected with HIV from having your blood drawn.
PROTECTED!!!!! U answered your own question as long as condom was used correctly you had no risk at all!!
now its been nearly 3 weeks and i have a lump node which is hard but not big i can feel it on the back of my neck do you think this is a sign of ARS
thats not me my exposure was protected anal
I would also add that you may also want to consider an appointment with a mental health professional, given your mental state. Your issues are beyond the scope of help that an HIV forum can provide.
"when i went for my 12 week HIV DUO test i did not see the lab guy unpack the syringe and ever since my mind is going crazy with worry thinking that that need was a used one and he made a mistake"
This should be in the anxiety forum because we can't help with irrational thinking.
