That information is inaccurate. HIV does not lie dorment for 6-10 years befoe it can be detected.
Does anybody know the answer to my question as to why cunilingus is not a risk? Especially if there are cuts in the mouth. Are mucos membranes a natural way of infection?
-hiv is a very fragile virus. it survives for seconds outside the human body..if that.
-vaginal sex with a known hiv person is transmitted 1/2000 exposures. oral is 1/10000
-saliva is a inhospitable environment for the virus and it is destroyed quickly.
-hiv concentrations are higher deep in the female cervix
-there is a theorical risk...very few if any confirmed transmission cases.
-there are a million what if's...personally you're in the clear...
I don't think I will mentally be in the "clear" until I receive a negative test....and I am only at the 3 week mark ! I'm still quite terrified and am hypersensitive to every feeling in my body. I have had nearly all the symptoms including fever which has really freaked me out! Is there any stock in a 3 week DUO test? I've heard 50% test antibody positive at this time if infected. Woudl the Antigen test combo ...and a negative result...be a valid indicator?
Also you say deeper in the cervix the virus is more concentrated....what about finger penetration then? Does it carry an even higher risk then cunilingus?
