dry blood

Hi Guys,
What is the risk of acquiring HIV if dried blood from an HIV positive person gains access to your blood stream. Here is the scenario-
I had blood drawn from me for a regular check up and the techs used a reusable vacutainer plastic tube holder which had a few specks of blood in the inside(where the tube is inserted) and in the place where the needle is screwed on the plastic holder. The technicians seemed to think that there is no way that this blood will gain access to my blood stream, saying that they attended seminars and are sure about the safety of the system and they need not change the plastic holder.
I am getting a bit worried about the possibility of blood finding its way into me one way or another and to my luck the previous patient might have been HIV positive, who knows!!
Please let me know what your thoughts are about that.
Thanks a lot

Completely unrealistic and irrational thinking on your part. And even if your wild, paranoid fantasies somehow turned into reality, HIV CANNOT survive dessication.

Please, no follow-up questions; I have nothing more to say.
