Dear Doc

Hi, i am 25 years of age and about a week back i had unprotected oral sex with an escort in south africa(cape town) i received a falletio, well now i am back to my country  and i am really very scared about having being infected by hiv since i am these days having regular:

headache
sore throat
difficulty in thinking
eyes are burning regulary
tiredness
fever
eyes burning

i am very scared about the fact if i have been infected i got my hiv test done and it said "not reactive (0.19)" and this has made me more worried that it is not reactive right now but would ........

pl pl help i really need it

you were never at risk of getting hiv from oral sex.  get tested for other std's.  but no way you could have gotten hiv.  you can't base hiv off of symptoms because hiv doesn't usually give off symptoms.  yeah some people get the "flu like symptoms" but hell i can list at least 10 things that give off "flu like symptoms"

Hello, i got those symptoms too, but 60 days after.  I don't think I caught HIV, because the tests are always negative.  Receiving oral sex is not very risky for a man receiving it, except for if she has a cold sore, or if she has been giving oral sex to lots of guys, you might catch Chlamydia because Chlamydia can live in the throat.  HIV doesn't live well at all in saliva.

You should test for Chlamydia, I caught Chlamydia and had similar symptoms, especially the eye thing.

my sex exposure was limited to insertive oral sex with a CSW in S.A., i have taken an anti body test at 25 days and it is non reactive with index value 0.14; what is the meaning of non reactive and index value 0.14 ? please somebody reply

i want to know how conclusive is my test result and do i need to  go in for three minths test
