HIV on a bottle of face cream

Hello, I have bought a bottle of face cream at a pharmacy and when I got home I saw a smear which looked like blood on it. I touched it with a hand that had an abrasion that is 2 days old ( not bleeding). Are a baby in my belly and I am at risk for HIV if the blood was from the infected person? I do not know how long the bottle was standing there and when it was touched by another person. Thank you for your answer

You can't touch objects and get HIV.  Why would you assume HIV fluid was on a bottle of face cream anyway?  This is anxiety rearing its ugly head.   For some women, hormones accelerate anxiety to a high degree.  This could put you at a greater risk for post partum depression.  You should mention this to your OB.

HIV is not able to infect outside the body, as it gets neutralized by air and also by saliva. The only ways HIV is spread are:

-Unprotected anal/vaginal penetrations.
-Sharing needles to inject drugs.
-Mother to child.

You didn't have any risk as you didn't do any of those things.

All the best.

Thank you so much. You are amazing. Does it also get neutralized if it just spent a minute or two in air? Sorry for the follow-up question, this pregnancy makes me worry about things I usually do not worry about at all.
