1)a lancet does not go deep enough to cause an injury
2) a lancet isn't used to inject, its just used to draw blood
you won't get HIV from a lancet...

The biggest difference is that any infected blood present on the SURFACE AREA of a lancet (or items such as pin, thumbtack, etc) are exposed to the elements and therefore the virus cannot survive.  In a true needle stick scenario, the infected blood would be trapped inside the hollow bored needle/syringe, allowing it to be protected/preserved.

Even still, almost ALL needlestick injuries in the workplace do not end up with infection due to it being difficult for the virus to reach a person's bloodstream, which has to happen to allow for transmission.

I don't know how many more ways you can be told...this was NOT a risk, period.

Its ONLY possible if INJECTED!! Pricks are not injections and Lancets can not INJECT.

You had NO RISK as you have been told repeatedly

No, even if a person did poke another person with a lancet, infection is impossible.

Even if someone wanted to try to infect others...which is irrational thinking...they would have to have unprotected anal or vaginal sex with that person, or share IV drug works.  You CANNOT become infected by being pricked with a lancet.  Not to mention, almost all lancets on the market today are single use only, and are impossible to reuse.

So she moved only because you confronted her? I'm sorry but your recreation of the events make it very hard to believe. I think that the situation might be a little different then how you portray it.

But anyway, no you did not have a risk as Teak has told you.
