HIV Concern

My friend traveled to Middle East on holiday. He's a 25 year old male and virgin. He went out to get groceries one night and a girl sitting on a bench called him over as he passed by. He sat next to her. She was a prostitute. They started talking and she told him that she was from Ghana. They took a taxi back to her place near by. She got naked. He layed on the bed. She gave him a quick handjob. Then she put a condom on. She gave him oral with the condom and then hopped on and had protected sex. Changed position to doggy style, then finished in missionary. He told me that he tried not to go to deep during the act. He finished inside of her with condom on, then pulled it out. She was very wet. He went to the bathroom to wash off. Inspected the condom. Did not break. Pushed the semen to the tip and pushed very hard to make sure there was no leak. There were none. Threw the condom away and washed with water all over. He then went home and showered. Then put alcohol all over lower area and then showered again. He is a virgin and this was his first time.
Then, 2 weeks later he told me that his right testicle hurt for 2 days, like a tenderness, and this may have been because he squeezed it on accident in bed. Then, 3 weeks later he told me he woke up 2 nights in a row and had to change his shirt because he was sweaty. Then he developed a sore throat on the third day. He started to feel bad, like sick, but no fever. No fever at all really. Nothing that would register as high on a thermometer or feel like a fever. He just did not feel good. He switched rooms, because maybe the AC was a cause. So he slept in the living room. He did not wake up sweaty that next morning. The sore throat got better, but was still there a little. But he started to have congestion in his nose and woke up with yellow mucus in nose after morning bathroom. It was not severe congestion, but congestion nonetheless. Sneezing the past 2 days as well. It was like a common cold. The symptoms were very mild. No real fever. Just the feeling of being ill, slight headache, no tiredness really maybe a little, but he could do all the normal tasks although he definitely felt sick. Just upper body night sweat for first two nights, then sore throat, sneezing, congestion, slight headache, a little eye redness, slight discomfort in temples of head, no real fever during the whole thing, and no rash. He has had the flu before and this was not a flu. It would not be something that would keep him from going to work or school. He is worried that it is ARS since it is in the window period, or that it is a common cold. The symptoms of night sweats for 2 days without other symptoms, then 1 day symptoms as mentioned, then 1 days symptoms started clearing up and he felt almost normal again. But he's very scared and would like some input, so please advise, as it is strange to experience these symptoms during the window period. Maybe some of the girls wetness got on lower shaft or washing after may have created a wet environment in trousers, etc...

After he finished he asked girl if she had hiv and she reacted very strangly in a scared manner, went to bathroom and spit up. Then she said I should be asking you the same thing. He went out for groceries the next night and saw her sitting on the same bench, did not talk to her the first time, but did on way back. He told her he was scared, she asked why, he said of sickness, she said did you forget you wore a condom. He asked her if she was sick, she said no, he told her to swear to god, she looked up at the sky and said I swear to god. That really doesnt mean much as people lie. Sorry for the long story, but please advise...

The point is that when you have no risk, in other words you were never exposed to HIV because of the condom, then none of those symptoms you're having are HIV related. You can't have HIV symptoms dive you were never exposed to HIV in the first place.

Condoms prevent HIV. That's a scientific fact. Whether or not you agree is irrelevant because science. There is nothing in this long winded description that is any risk for HIV. No risk means no exposure which means none of those symptoms are HIV related.

Latex condoms isolate the urethra from any sexual fluids that may contain HIV. Being your friend wore a condom that did not fail he had no risk for HIV.
Hiv does not absorb into skin so the vaginal fluids that contacted his lower shaft was not a risk.

He should see a Dr concerning his health but what he's experiencing is not hiv related from what you describe.

There is no fever, but he feels hot... The sore throat and feeling of hotness is the issue that is driving him crazy. And redish eyes. Somewhat redish flushed face. Somewhat congession but not much. However, it is not like a flu at all. Extremely mild. Not severe at all. Function is not impaired. Even if condom was worn do you think there is a risk? I know you addressed this, but just to confirm.
All you say is that since he used a condom then there was no risk! That does not explain the symptoms that occurred at 3 weeks.

He has pressure in ears and has to blow nose to relief pressure from time to time during symptoms.
