DENTIST and HIV concern

Dear dr. HHH
After the dentist exposure I told you about.   On the 26th
Of october I want to get tested anyway.    When is it a good time to test for elisa
And when is it a good time for a combo (af/ab).  Thank you
Btw.  I sent this question and got an email that it was answered
But could find it.  So I made a new question
Thank you.

Please read my response. At 4 weeks the results of your combo test are definitive.  At three weeks the evidence is strong but not definitive.  In your case however, since there was no risk to start with, there is also not reason to worry.

This will end this thread.  You need to move forward and stop worrying. EWH

I agree with the information that Dr. Handsfield has already given you-your fears of HIV from your interaction with the dentist are groundless.  If you feel you must get tested and have access to combo (that is combination HIV p24 antigen and HIV antibody tests) then I would get tested at 4 weeks after your trip to the dentist.  When you do I am confident that your test will be negative.

As Dr. Handsfield has already said, your fears have no basis in modern medical knowledge or fact. EWH

It will be 21 days today so if you can recommend a test type
Only 2 are available.    Elisa and combo.
