hiv from blood on hand to eye

I touched a door handle today to open the door in a  toilet and  immediately (maybe seconds) after that i rubbed my eyes.
After  rubbing my eyes  i saw a little  blood on my fingers which i am sure i got from that door handle.
I read here that blood getting into eye is a risk?
am i at risk if there was hiv positive blood on the door handle?
i just tested 1 month back should i need to test again for this incident ?

Correct, still  no risk.

As I said above " HIV is spread among adults only through penetrative genital or ano-genital sexual contact or by injection of infected materials deep into tissue.".  Thus if you do not have unprotected sex and do not share needles, you should not be at meaningful risk for HIV.  EWH

Thanks doctor,

But it is no risk situation even if blood on door handle was fresh?
Also I think I have a bit of hiv phobia since I had an unprotected oral sexual behaviour an year back so I want to ask that if I don't have unprotected sex or use drugs injections I hope I don't need to worry about getting hiv ?
Thanks for help

Welcome to our Forum.  There is no risk for HIV or other infection from the events that you describe. Even if the blood which you got on your hand was from a person with HIV, the virus dies very quickly on exposure to the environment and, as a result, when another person's blood or genital secretions gets on an inanimate object such as a door handle or toilet seat, the virus dies virtually immediately and cannot be transmitted to others.  That you rubbed your eyes after touching the door handle does not change this.  HIV had NEVER been transmitted in this way.  HIV is spread among adults only through penetrative genital or an0-genital sexual contact or by injection of infected materials deep into tissue.  There is no need for you to worry and no medical reason for you to seek further testing.

I hope this comment is helpful to you.  EWH
