You don't need to test
even if you had a cut in your hand the other person's blood should have contacted your wound and moreover he had to be infected
Understand, if you've made your mind that you'd wanna test, go ahead get tested cuz' even if Dr. HHH tells that you weren't at risk, you would not believe him
It'll be negative..thats what I had to say !
Mike
Okay, you need to understand how it's transmitted:
1. One would require a FRESH SEVERELY BLEEDING CUT
2. INFECTED blood has to contact the other person's WOUND (FRESH SEVERELY BLEEDING CUT)
3. Any small bruises and scratches by nails is not a worry, one would require blood contact to the wound (FRESH SEVERELY BLEEDING CUT)
4. Moreover practically, it's not a risk since if some one who's bleeding profusely would be definitely attended for the first aid. Logically if you were to be bleeding so bad would you have continued to play the game, when you're actually seeing the blood dripping heavily, I'm sure you would go for the anti septic band and then resumed
Oh..by the way, did you tell me you too play 'BASKET BALL' ???
Are you and Pecha in the same team ???
Any ways Guys, NO RISK !
Keep playing the game :)
so your saying any normal scratches are no risk. i am sure that cut on my hand was from somebody else fingernails when i was playing. also i can remember it was a scratch maybe 2 or 3 centimeters long. and the skin that was scratched off was still kind of hanging there and there was blood all around the cut that looked like it was almost dried. with that i am still at no risk. what if by some weird reason somebody else out there had a scratch on there arm or something and my cut hit theres. theres no risk then, do you guys think that i need to test.
I know ive read that website and it confuses me, it says if you get blood in a cut or sore, it doesnt say nothing about it needing to be a large cut or anything like that. Then it also says something like once HIV is outside its host it cant infect someone. its kinda confusing. But with me i have been playing basketbal my whole life and i have had blood on my forearm and clothes and stuff and i have also and just recently been scratched on the top of my hand and i was bleeding. i didnt even know i was scratched and most people dont even know when there cut or scratched why playing.
so do you think i need any testing based on people getting scratched and bleeding and stuff like that during basketball.

There are no documented cases of HIV being transmitted during some one playing sports. Theoretically, very low risk of transmission during sports, you needed to bleed severely and a gaping wound would have been required and the person who's blood was in contact to your wound had to be infected and above all small bruises and scratches don't matter
If someone is bleeding, their participation in the sport should be interrupted until the wound stops bleeding and is both antiseptically cleaned and securely bandaged.
There is no risk of HIV transmission through sports activities where bleeding does not occur.
