hiv prevention

is the hiv virus alive even after  it has hit the air? is there a certain degrees it has to be for it to immmediately die. does it take a few minutes. can i have details please thanks, well this girl cut herself and i had an open wound on my hand so im wandering so please help

it was a minor paper cut in the office. can i have a time frame as how long the hiv virus would take to deactivate in room temperature conditions

The virus is deactivated shortly after it comes into contact with air and different temptures.
Your "open wound" probably was not a risk. Was it an active bleeding cut that required stitches?
