No you weren't at risk of contracting HIV. HIV is not transmitted off environmental surfaces.
yea i was going to ask the same question, i cut myself on a stanley knife the other day at work, the day before an eastern european worker who did some work for me used the same knife and cut himself on it also. I studied it and it had no visible blood on the blade and between him cutting himself on it and cutting myself it was pretty much 24hours give or take an hour. Am i at any risk even if he was HIV positive?
