hiv risk

Hello everyone:

I think this is low risk and I want to get others opinions on this.

A month ago I was at work. I use knifes at my work to cut meat. I also always wear powdered latex gloves. Well, while working on the grill, slicing steak into butterfly cuts, i was holding the knife in one hand I was holding a pair of tongs in the hand, I cut my pointer finger. However, and maybe partly because of the gloves, the cut was not deep at all. At the time I did not even see any blood but the next day there was a small scab (a little larger than the size of a pencil point so there must have been some blood). . My mind is asking what ifs like what if the guy who used the tongs before (he used them about one-two minutes before me) me bled on them and I held the tongs with my hand and that blood was on my gloves but then when i cut my finger some of that blood got in. Is this crazy? Does this warrant me worrying about it or testing for hiv?

Thanks everyone who replies

Hey lizze thanks for your quick quick reply.

My post wasnt really all that clear im sorry. I think you got what I was trying to say but i want to make it clearer juts for my own sake.

I was holding the tongs with the hand that I cut. My other hand was holding the knife. I am afraid that the tongs may have had blood and that the hand i holding the tongs with (which i later cut) may have had that blood on my gloves and when i cut my finger (and my gloves) that blood would have gotten into this small cut.

OK i think that is clearer and if this description doesnt change your thoughts please just quickly say so. Thank you so much for your time.
