hiv

okay im really worried now, i told my cousin he had blood on the side of his lip and he touched it, than with that same hand he touched my little babies feet. Can she get hiv by him touching her right after he touched his lip with blood. I didnt really see any cuts on my babies feet buts he does have alot of dry skin broken skin

thankyou kevin, i guess i worry alot about stds especially hiv since a very personal thing i went thru and i just dont want to put my daughter in any risk...so should i just forget about it cuz she didnt have an open wound just dry skin

For HIV to posse the slightest risk of an infection though an open wound the wound would have to be fresh, deep and bleeding profusely. This type of wound would require hospital treatment.

Although the situation you have described may be unsettling it does not posse a risk of an HIV infection.

well my baby didnt have any cuts just dry skin like broken skin, my cousin did have blood on the side of his lip like a cut

from what am aware off is that as long as there was no cut or bleeding there should not be a cause of concern. In order for HIV to be transmitted it needs to have some sort of Blood contact from an individual who is HIV positive.

you stated that there was no bleeding or open wounds etc etc then I highly doubt you your kid has contracted any sort of HIV!
