You can get hep c from sharing shaving stuff, but barbers are always cleaning their tools with alchohol.
There is a site with a doctor in a streaming video at the top, who not only states towels as a risk, But his opinion completely went out the window when he says for people with eczema dealing with HIV positive people, because of cracked skin on hands "obviously, gloves should be worn for regular social contact" Typo I hope?
Anyways, just an example of bad information
HHH is one of the best online sources as we can see the reasons and justifications for his claims.
"It's a consuming fear. I've experienced it first hand, man."
It certainly is, still got me consumed.
I agree with your "modes of transmission" post mainly. But with all the false info out there, and hyped up risks, you can see where he's coming from in a way...
it is blood donor.
I think MedHelp will contact the local authorities for their constant harrassment. They have this person's ip address.
They have violated numerous polciies...and some are legal infringements. (copyrighted info.)
MedHelp seems to be vigilant on that
what the **** ever. I aint crazy, maybe just a little more paranoid than what you guys are.
yup. I called the owner of the barber shop, he is my friend and i asked him about this and he said that they dont use the old school straight razors anymore, they use ones that look just like them but the blade is diposable. But that certainly doesnt meant that it was a brand new blade that was used on my head. It could have been used for a while who knows. I am just hpoing that it was sterolized before used on me.
its fear. as fear goes up intelligence and logic go down. i probably know more about this disease than most people i know, yet i worry about it more than anyone else i know. it doesn't matter how educated i am, i still believe that i could be that 1/10000 first time freak occurance. it's a shame.
i hope so, i thought that i seen them just grab it off the counter and start using it.
i know little things freak me out, they always do and always have. Im just hoping that the razor was cleaned off by the barbor before he used it on me
what are we talking about here there is no risk
im in the same boat, even though I really didnt have a risk (long term monog hetero relationship with a partner who tested negative after we broke up). It's called obsessive compulsive disorder, you're just trying to find a route to vent it through.
she is doing good. Can i get a no risk from anyone!
I know, its just a nasty fear that controls me
THATS MY POINT THANKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
have you talked to him about this do research you are fine trust me i get a haircut once a week with a razor from my barbour been doing this for years he probably used the same razor on 200 heads befor mine CALM YOUR FEARS
thats whats also freaking me out., i saw him just grab it off his station and use it
then calm down my friend and enjoy get this off your mind most barbers sanitize razors after they use it
i think so to, matter of fact i know that i worry to much. I cut from a straight razor that a barbor would use would be an obviouse cut with bleeding. I didnt see that.
show me a case that proves you can contract hiv from a barber then you will get indefinate replys i think you are to worried on this issue at hand
I think it is Fear. Fear of death, and fear of having to tell everyone around you what you've caught. Also fear of infecting somebody else. Fear makes us worry irrationally.
