is it worth worrying?

Is this unuseful worrying? Being scratched by something but you dont know what it is so I started to look for any syringes around but there was no signs of syringes. I m a hypochondriac person! Is it worth it worrying? Was it ever documented that someone was scratched by something unknown and later found that he/she was HIV +

no worrying...that's just your mind playing tricks on you. Plus, you wouldn't get HIV from a needle that's just lying around.that happened to scratch you. IV drug users have about a 1 in 300 chance of acquiring HIV when sharing needles with HIV+ people. That's about a 0.33% chance!  And that's sticking a needle into your bloodstream directly. It's just your mind...don't let it play tricks on you like that. Focus your energy on something else...you are ok.
