Lapdance etc

At the outset, I would like to than you for operating the forum. I think the candid nature of your responses are excellent. I would therefore appreciate it if you could candidly answer the following question.

I am a 34 yr old married male from Ireland. I visited a lapdancing club on a night out and have been suffering from anxiety since then. The lapdance was the normal affair and was clothed - both me (jeans etc) and her (g-string). There was no intercourse - the club does not allow touching. What bothers me is that I briefly kissed the area above her vagina (her navel I think) at one point. I am almost certain that I did not kiss her vagina. This kiss lasted no more than a second. I have been anxious since then regarding any possible STD'S or HIV. Is there any risk?

I would appreciate your (candid) response!

There is a difference between the spectrum of ARS and what is most common.  The purpose of this site is to address probabilities and perceived risks.  Outliers occur but are uncommon.  that is what makes them outliers.  The vast majority of ARS, in the very few people who experience it, occurs at 2-3 weeks following exposure.  EWH

As a follow up to the question above, I wonder could you give me your thoughts on the following question. I have read a lot of articles reagrding ARS on the internet and the timing of same. Most reports differ with 1 week seemingly the minimum and 3-4 months as a maximum. I have also read comments by Dr. HHH who states that it is rare for it to develop after 3 weeks. In your experience what is the normal timing for the onset of ARS?

Kind regards

Being familiar with our site, I know that you can find a number of other responses to similar questions, many of which contain "lap dance" in their titles.  The answer to your question is that your risk is zero.   STDs do not pass through clothes (even g-strings) and oral-genital contact is very low risk, oral-skin exposure is zero risk.

Hope this helps.  Nothing to worry about.  EWH
