I said up to 10% of African American sex workers might have HIV in some (not most) cities -- not 10% of all AA women.  In any case, that figure was intended to reassure you, since it's much lower than the 90% figure you stated.

But these comments do not change my opinions or advice.  Carefully re-read my original reply.  You don't have HIV and should not be worried at all.

That will end this thread.  Take care.

Welcome to the forum.

In several discussions on the HIV community forum over the past 1-2 years, you have been told many times that HIV is only transmitted by unprotected vaginal, anal or (rarely) oral sex; or by overt blood contact, as with shared injection equipment (and not be superficial contact with small amounts of blood).

You also have been informed repeatedly that test results always overrule symptoms and exposure history.  As long as testing is done sufficiently long after the last exposure -- usually 4-8 weeks, and rarely as long as 3 months, depending on the specific test(s) done.  In other words, no matter what the symptoms, and even for the highest risk exposure you can imagine, test results rule.  Your test results PROVE you do not have HIV.

To your specific questions:

1) See above.

2,4) In the US, HIV is more common in African Americans than in other racial or ethnic groups,  But nowhere near 90% of AA sex workers have HIV; probably 1-10% in most cities.

3) There is no need for additional testing.  The tests you have prove you didn't catch HIV.

The question in the last comment:  As I said, test results rule, and your results show that HIV isn't the cause of these symptoms.  They are not suggestive of HIV anyway.

Bottom line:  Trust your current test results; don't have any more HIV tests; and in the future choose your sex partners carefully and always used condoms.
