This further reduces any likelihood that you coulld have been infected by your use of this lancet device. EWH

thanks for your answer. Would you get tested if it happen to you or would you forget about it and move on
Welcome to the Forum. This was a low and perhaps no risk event. As I understand it, most diabetic lancet kits have lancet's designed to be used a single time. Is this the case with the kit you used? If so, then there really is no risk.
On the other hand, even if you are concerned that you may have used a previously used lancet, the risk for HIV remains tiny. First it is unlikely that anyone using the lancet before you had HIV- HIV is a rare disease. Second, lancets for diabetic blood tests are solid, not hollow pointed so there is no place for blood to collect and any HIV in blood present an exposed to the air/environment would die almost immediately and would not be infectious hours after being used by another person.
Either way, in my opinion the risk for HIV or any other infection from the situation you describe is miniscule. I would not worry and see little reason other than to reduce your own concerns for testing.
I hope this comment is helpful. EWH
