Hello, I'm sure that similar questions are asked all the time but I'm worried and wanted to ask for my specific circumstances:
I'm a 34 year old male and about 5 weeks ago, in a very drunk state, I received a blow job from a street prostitute - not one of my proud moments and an event that I've been regretting every day since it happened. I got an STD screen done after 2 weeks and it came back all clear. However, because I was still worried I went to another place (after exactly 25 days) and explained my worry about HIV. They took blood for a combined antigen / antibody test, which also came back negative. Unfortunetely, the doc said that this didn't mean I'm cleared yet and that I should re-test after 6 weeks. Over the last couple of weeks I've developed a soar throat, tingling (for the lack of a better word) in my ears and seem to have plaque on my tongue. Could these me signs of an HIV infection? And also, after what time frame is an antigen / antibody test considered conclusive? Did the one after 25 days hold any value? And is 6 weeks for another one definitely enough?
Thanks you.
