needles

Hi there,

I went for a hiv test yesterday to calm all fears that i have had. Now i sat in the docters office and im 100% sure she opened the needle infront of me. But when i looked it looked really dirty the tray....i am little confussed and worried. What i wanted to ask was here we have 2 kinds of ways to take blood.... they have needles attached to the tubes thats the new way. But we also have the old fashioned way where the needle is attached to a tube???? what i wanna ask is i know the needle was new.... is there any way in hell the tube could ever be re used or is this impossible??

I know about the needle because the first time they used it on me, i stopped them until i verified by myself how it works. After a clear idea, i didn't and i won't mind at all using this type of needles t withdraw my blood.

Yes the rubber in between, you are safe.
No clinic in the world would like to infect you with HIV. Come on, move on, you are in the UK.
This is an approved way to withdraw blood. When you request the old way, it is because easier for you to understand how it works.

Just think it this way IV drug user is pushing the drug into the body so if they are sharing the needle then they push blood from the other person in the needle. Your scenario is pulling blood away from you so no risk for you.

The tube where the blood is reserved, for sure it is new.
There is 3 parts of this system:
The needle, the tube you are talking about, and the casing holding the system.
The first 2 parts is where the blood flows and for sure are new.
The third part never get in contact with the blood.
Don't worry about it. I know what i am talking about.
If it was risky, they will never approve it. For God sake you are in the UK.

The needle is connected to the reservoir of Blood.
There is no connection at all with the needle.
They can use the tube on different people and it is very safe. Don't worry about it.
Also this is one way flow of the blood.
Don't think about it anymore.
