nervous about encounters

Dr,

I will keep my story brief. I was with 8 escorts in the past several months. All of the encounters included getting hand-jobs from them--no intercourse at all. With one escort, I did finger her and kiss her on the lips briefly a few times. The other encounter that frightened me, included the escort fingering herself a bit, and then without thinking, I let her give me a hand job. I also had one escort rub my penis with her bare breasts. Do any of these encouters put me at risk for hiv or std's, and do you recommend hiv/std testing?

Thank you much for time, KB

There is no HIV/STD risk for hand-to-genital or skin-to-skin contact.  Zero, zilch, nada, nichevo, forget it.  No testing is recommended.

Good luck--  HHH, MD

Sounds to me like you are being EXTREMELY safe.   I can't think one person can get much safer, other than not having sex at all.  Just my two cents.

Please see my post entitled, "risk level" and May 29. Dr. H. did a great job addressing the whole masturbation thing.

More importantly, a person should start worrying about HIV if they had UNPROTECTED vaginal/anal sex or have shared needles. THESE ARE THE WAYS IT IS TRANSMITTED EFFECIENTLY. If your risk is not one of those, you really having nothing to worry about. Oral sex and mutual masturbation are SAFE. HIV is a very difficult disease to get. No worries, OK?
