numbing joint aches

Ive had numbing joint aches in both my knees and 1 ankle for about 5 weeks. Im currently at 9 weeks from possible infection. Could this be a symptom of primary hiv infection? Im kinda thinking it may be stress and anxiety as when i wake in the morning the aches are gone but they soon come back. I also had a negative standard antibody test at 4 and a half weeks and im wondering how reliable it would be at that time.

My test at 81 days was negative, phew. That was with a 4th gen antibody /antigen rapid test, backed up with a blood draw lab test antibody/antigen. Just worried bout hepatitis b now, results on Monday. Cheers for everyone's replies x

It doesn't have to be so complicated: HIV is terrible to assess from symptoms and you need to get tested 3 months post-exposure with an appropriate test for a conclusive, if negative, result.

Thare are not tests marketed or sold to give a conclusive negative test result earlier than 3 months.

Your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV.  The kind of symptom is seems you are talking about is Peripheral Neuropathy and first off this really doesn't occur in ARS but is more connected to advanced stages of the disease or medication used to treat HIV.  I would suggest that your 4.5 week test is highky encouraging as the average time to the production of antibodies is 22 days.

Why don't you go and get yourelf tested again now.  If negative it is not going to change at 12 weeks unless you have been going through chemo or are a long term IV drug user,  The CDC still clings to 13 weeks as conclusive but really it is much earlier than that.

Your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV. Get tested at your 3 month mark.
