ohhh saliva transmit HIV??

Question

i got scared that i read on web article says that saliva transmit HIV...if contacted with penis or vaginal fluids...

that is why there is test for saliva..which discover the virus in it....
am going to b maddddddddd

then oral sex is not safe as i thought!!then am infected..
plz anybody help me

The OraSure test doesn't use saliva. It uses an fluid called oral mucosal transudate, which lives in the cheeks and gums.

You didn't read that at all? Saliva is NOT infectious.

HIV can be detected in saliva but the saliva doesn't carry the virus in its infectious form.  That is my understanding.  In fact, saliva helps brakdown the virus and acts as a barrier.
