oraquick at home multiple

Hello
I have the following:
High and low exposures about 10 to 11 years ago. I remember a sweat rash followed by what seemed to be tinea vericolor (went away with antifungal cream. Years later (now) i began worrying which caused excessive stress. Shortly after i was diagnosed with soborrheic dermatitis. I do sweat excessively i dont know if this contributes to those conditions. After this i started getting reddish legs with kind of dry skin like my face and scalp only there was pimples or folliculitis too. This cleared upwith anti dandruff shampoo too. I worry cuz this is right around thetime late symptoms show. My wife also has sd on nasal folds is it common for couples to both have this or is this a red flag? Also i need your professional opinion. Considering all this would you render two negative home oraquick tests conclusive? I realize i have anxiety issues please tell me your opinion i think that would help me. Is it conclusive? Arethese late stage symptoms?

Sorry, somehow I neglected to take your negative OraQuick tests into consideration - I apologize.  Your OraQuick tests are conclusive.  there is simply no  way that you have HIV from your encounters long ago. EWH

Thankyou. So you're saying test with something other than the 2 negative  home oraquicks for reassurance?

No, I would not worry at all.  HIV is a rare disease and your risk is distant.  if you had HIV I suspect you would have been ill by now.  If you wish the reassurrance fo a negative test, there is no reason that I can think of not to test but I would be quite suprised if such a test were positive.

I began to worry now because of the sd and when i read articles it says many do not know they had it and most go 10 to 12 years with no symptoms. Then i read sd i usually a late symptom. So you would not worry at all?

Welcome to the Forum. I am not sure why you are now worrying about distant exposures.  While seborrheic dermatitis is seen in persons with HIV, only a very small proportion of persons with seborrheic dermatitis have HIV.  If you have had negative OraQick home tests, you should believe them.  They would certainly have detected infection if you were infected.

Please do not let the fact that you and your wife happen to have seborrheic dermatitis worry you.  EWH
