Ive got a rash on my chest now, and one little spot on my groin. No other symtoms though.. My mum who used to a nurse had a look and reckons they're just spots. I did try and exfoilate my chest with an abrasive face wash- that might have diturbed my balance of oile etc I suppose (trying to be as rational as poss) Feel like a headache might be creeping on but had a right late night worrying last night. Its probably pyschosymatic. Going docs tomorrow for him to take a look. Im jumping to the worst all the time. I rang national hiv helpine today and the man on the phone told me again v low risk. Said the spots are not hiv related. Just want that rubber stamped
Also going for a six week anti-boy test at hosp tomorrow. If the spots were related that would test + would it not as Id be sero-converting would I not. I' be stunned if it was to come back + especially afetr neg p24 hiv1/2 antibod test. Could I take a 6 week antibody test as 99.9% evidence Im fine?
Joggen, i'm finding your advice invaluable. You're a saint good sir!
I agree with your doctor. The chance that a random woman in england would have HIV is very low. You should expect your confirmation test to be negative.
The doc that admin my test said i was v v low risk and didnt expect my test to come back + I also rang The national aids helpline and the man I spoke too actually said he wouldn't even bother getting tested for hiv if he was me and I should just do a std check.
So given my negative antigen, realistically, Its highly unlikely that I have it then? Im trying to rationalise things a little here. Things reached fever-pitch at work last night.
Your antigen/antibody test is a good indication of your final result, but not conclusive. You need to confirm with a 3 month antibody test.
Please advise me. Please. Im really struggling!
