About HIV outside of its host

Good day forum! So I wanted to get educated about HIV before having any sex. I've read many posts on this website and what interested me the most is (HIV outside of human body). Many top anwserers like Teak and others state that HIV becomes inactive and unble to infect as soon as it comes in contact with air because the outer shell is damaged. Can anyone please tell me where did you get such information from? That HIV is unable to infect as soon as it hits air?   I never seen a doctor on this forum say that the outer shell of HIV breaks down in air. Are these facts or just a theory to calm anxeous people?

It's a complicated biological process.  As you've found, the same fact is mentioned over and over on many sites, from many reputable experts.  Explaining that the outer shell becomes damaged is the simplest way to describe the process to a lay person.  Unless you are educated in these kinds of matters, any link we could provide you that goes into great detail about the life cycle of the virus is not going to be easy for you to comprehend.

Bottom line, we've given you the facts in terms you can understand.  You continuing to search for a more detailed answer is indicative of anxiety.  The facts remain that HIV is NOT a hearty virus.  It is, in fact, the opposite, it is very vulnerable and cannot sustain the ability to infect when it is exposed to the elements (outside of the body).

I would recommend some professional help to address the anxiety.  That would be a far better use of your time, instead of searching for in depth biological explanations.

The truth is that i am not really good at using the internet so i really can't find anything useful. Everywhere i look just states the same that HIV does not maintain infectiousness outside its host. But i want to know what exactly happens to the virus itself. If you have any knowledge about this i would be most grateful and will not trouble you again. Thank you.
