I am absolutely sick with worry.

With my girlfriend for last two years but have strayed recently while on a drunken lads trip away. To make matters worse it was a prostitue, She was african american (for statitic sake) and I gave oral sex.

The problem is I had a bit of a cold sore on face just at the side of my mouth and this god a lot worse for weeks afterwards...my girlfriend has also been getting blisters/ulcers in her mouth (white on top) ....

For the past 4 days (waiting for my test) i have mostly cried and gotten sick with worry that I have not only come into contact with Hiv but given my lovely poor girlfriend it also.

I have been so stupid, I did not have sex with the pros but i think at the time i was so drunk I thought giving oral was ok?!!! I know that its not but something came over me

ANyone any thoughts? I cannot stop thinking about it and crying over it

how can you give oral sex to someone when you have a cold sore? I am concerned that you gave her herpes.
Next time don't give oral when you have an outbreak.
Next time don't perform oral on a prostitute either.
if you thought you contracted hiv then why did you sleep  with your gilrfirend unprotected?

oral sex is a low risk for contracting hiv many people on here will say just forget about it .

Thanks lads this is good to hear even if its only speculation, Im still shitting it - Have learned so much the past few days about how stupid I was to do it in the first place and then have sex with my girl pre-tested

Hopefully your advice will stop me getting sick through the night and help me sleep! I would give everything I have for the all clear tomorrow - please god i will get this

It possible if it was a large laceration, but not from some sore in your mouth.

Hi Teak, Sorry when i say she was sitting on my face i was giving oral to her. So is it not true that it can be contracted through bodily fluids going into open wounds??

You were never at risk from some gal sitting on your face and you had a sore in your mouth.

Yeah I was pretty much pissed at the time and let her do the above (lets say no more about that bit) but I heard there is still a risk with an open wound being infected like this by bodily fluids

At least this is what a friend tells me - I know the odds are probably quite large but I just worry cause due to the "possibility" of a devastating shock or more importantly ruiniung my girlfriends life

I have always been relatively anxious but this is not why I am worried I have contracted hiv

I am worried about this because a pros sat on my face and a sore around my mouth went out of control afterwards - I know this is not a symptom but to me it was as though something had definitely gotten inside the sore which often bled at the time!

I am sorry but I cannot stop thinking about it and had none else to contact apart from the clinic where I must attend tomorrow -  I really dont know how I will get skeep tonight!

Look anxiety is a  B I T C H get it
you will have all sorts of symptoms if you worry every minute look on the health pages at the top of page and read anxiety disorders and see what you think

Thanks for the reply alien shadow, Are you sure about it being such a low risk even with a sore on the mouth?

I know the chances are not as much as regular unprotected sex but the way I have gone about the past 4 days it is as though ive been feeling its the end .... mostly because I would have infected my girlfriend

I have the test tomorrow and I feel sick all day long just thinking about what could be!

oral sex is veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy  low risk even with a sore on the mouth
so that being said chill out and move on you didnt get hiv from this exposure
