Last answer. While rapid tests are slightly slower to become positive following acquisition of infection, at 8 weeks the results will be quite reliable for you. Please do not worry.

Welcome back to the Forum. It does sound like your test was negative and, if this is the case, there is no reason for further testing or concern as long as the test was done more than 12 weeks after your last exposure of concern. In the rapid tests, when the test is negative, a single line is typically seen. This single line is the "control line" that shows that the test has been performed correctly and is working properly. When rapid tests for HIV antibodies are positive, two lines are seen. However, because of the slight chance that an initial test result might be falsely positive, when initial tests are positive, it is recommended that the positive test be confirmed with a second, unrelated test for HIV antibodies. You do not need a second, confirmatory test if your first test is negative.
I hope this comment clarifies things. Believe your test results. EWH
they say the rapid test in the hospital if a positive result then we test ELISA analysis, if the test negative no need any test
