real risk

hi everyone,

i have read this forum but i feel like my risk is differenent and i would appreciate anyones help. i was in a relationship with a male. i am a female. we had unprotected sex for a couple mths. later on, i found out that he had been cheating on me with a few girls. i heard it's easier for girls to get HIV so i think that increases my risk. i feel like everyone on this forum has had only 1 exposure. i have had multiple exposures. anyway, does this mean i need to test at 6 months too. i tested at 3 months and it was negative but i'm still worried because he got around and he gave me chlamydia too.

thank you

female to male is 1 in 1000 but male to female is 1 in 500 and chlamydia increases that threefold. and the truth is there are so many stories of pple getting HIV from a one night stand so i don't like statistics but if you say 3 mths is ok, then thank u...

Your risk was not high, because HIV is rarely seen in straight men, even if they have multiple partners.  Chlamydia on the other hand is very common.

At any rate, your test proves that you did not catch HIV from this guy.  There is no need to test again.
