Scared out of my mind-Hiv risk

Good morning Doctor, I have to say Im scared out of my mind. Last week I had protected sex with a man who claims to be HIV negative, but you know ...its not easy to trust people, however at the very beginning he was inside of me without a condom for a few seconds, I dont recall how much precum was present. Thanks in advance for the response.

Sorry to bother again, but Im unsure as to whether the test I mentioned is sufficient testing after 4 weeks. This is what is literally written there as the name of the testing *HIV Ag+Ab 1+2 * so those are the antibody tests for Hiv 1 and 2? I do of course plan on getting tested at 3 months mark again to make sure.

u can ask for a p24 antigen test and a hiv 1/hiv 2 antibody test after 4 weeks . If both came negative u r free from hiv.
Antigen test is not available in all clinics. if so u can have a hiv antibody test 6 weeks later and that is accurate upto 99.8 percentage

Thanks that relieved me a little, it was my first sexual exerience and I have to say, quite frankly that it may also be my last at least for a loooong while. I live in western EU though. About the tests though ...I heard that 4 weeks is conclusive enough and so far Im all for having this test at about 5-6 weeks mark HIV Ag+Ab 1+2 ... I dont really know too much about this one so I guess id better ask here. Thanks in advance again

You did have a risk but the very short duration should make that risk a lot smaller.
The usual risk of contracting HIV from receptive anal intercourse is about 138 in 10 000.
That's assuming that the insertive partner is HIV positive which you don't know so that would decrease your odds even more.
Demographics play a role too, for eg. HIV is rare in the States so if you live there it's more than likely he didn't have it.
Still you have exposed yourself to a risk and I'd recommend talking to an HIV specialist about your risk.
If they recommend and you do decide to go on PEP, which only a doctor or HIV specialist is qualified to do, then time is of the essence.
It should be taken within 72 hours but the sooner it's taken the more chance it has of being successful.
If you are worried I would go to see a doctor or HIV specialist or even go to a hospital emergency room today and speak to someone qualified to get your risk assessed so that you can make an informed decision
