Rashes eruption

Hi, I am 26 years old. I am gay. Last Saturday, I was shocked seeing my arms and thighs covered with rashes. It did not itch at all. It was all over my arms and thighs. I had protected sex 17 days ago and unprotected oral sex. I was too scared that I went to clinic the next day and told my doc abt my possible exposure. So i got tested with fourth gen combo hiv test and it came back negative and the doc told me the timeframe was too short to confirm but it was a good news. I am still worried the rashes could be due to hiv ars. Then the rashes disappeared few days ago and it became itchy every night i sleep. I asked my doc again and he told me it could be exanthem rashes. So he prescribed me some lotion to put on my skin with rashes. Can somebody tell me if this is hiv rashes? I am really worried. I am afraid tat the person I had sex with was poz. But he keeps saying that he is negative and he just got tested not long ago. I am really worried because of the rashes that i had. Somebody help me please. Can the test pick up my infection after I had the rashes symptoms?

Only sex risks are unprotected penetrating anal or vaginal which you didn't have, so there was no need to test for HIV. Your doctor doesn't seem to know about HIV or perhaps he just wanted to be cautious in case you didn't remember all your sexual episodes so he tested you. Anyway, you don't have HIV and don't even need to worry about it or do a 28 day test.
Everyone posts here about their supposed ARS but I have never seen anyone with ARS, chiefly because they had no risk as is the situation with you. So relax about HIV.
Likely your doc is correct with this below diagnosis, so continue to work with him. " my doc .... told me it could be exanthem rashes."
Good luck.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply~Appreciate alot. Now I am feeling much better. But do you think my 17 days fourth gen combo test result was reliable?
Any test you take will be reliable - and negative - because you had NO RISK for HIV.
Thanks for the reply~Just curious, will the result be positive as soon as i get rashes if i get tested? or need to wait for 28 days.
You've been given a really clear answer to your question which is that you never had a risk.  There is really nothing more to add to that so we are now closing this thread.
