sorry to bother you Teak...i asked you this already but I just need ur opinion as i value it....can i take an 81 day test for HIV as 100% conclusive and put all this behind me with the help of God? Just want complete confirmation that this will suffice as i have to confirm my appointment. i wont bother u again with this i promise...please reply if u can..tanx.....sickwithworry
thanks dumy123. i have been negative at 3 weeks,6 weeks and 9 weeks, so i am praying 81 day test(almost 12 weeks) will also be fine with the help of God.I'd never dream of getting complacent.
81 days is almost 12 weeks (I think?) - 12 weeks testing is still the official line in most places. Dr H's view is 6-8 weeks is good enough (but it depends on what your exposure is). I was told a negative at 8 weeks is fine which is good enough for me. As chrisneedshelp said no one in medicine will give you a 100% guarantee.
I think you should take it as you don't hiv with a negative at 81 days and not worry about.
