So i know there has been a lot of talk about the set "window period" time that you will test positive. I developed what I believe are ARS symptoms at about 8 weeks (but then again I dont know b/c im not a dr.) Then I got a HIV test at 9 weeks, it turned out negative. But the symptoms I had have been chronic and though some have diminished, most have lingered and new ones have developed. Initially I had sore lymph nodes, fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite, and very sore muscles. The lymph nodes are still sore, i still have on and off sore muscles, and now ive developed a sort of tingling/numb feeling in my legs and feet, also my neck has been very stiff and sore for several days and I have a kind of chronic cough. It is now about 18 weeks after the incident.
So I guess what i'm trying to ask is:
1.) I know its rare to test positive after testing negative at 9 weeks, but I think my situation was pretty high risk, Has anyone here tested negative around 9 weeks, and then later tested positive, or do you know of anyone who has?
2.) Does anyone know if ARS symptoms can linger for that long?
3.) If i do test positive, could the tingling/numbness in my feet be peripheral neuropathy already??
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm scared to death, I can't even concentrate on work or school or anything I'm so worried waiting for the results!
