I've done a lot of reading here and beyond (google has provided some worrying material), and perhaps this is a moot point. But I'd like to hear somebody's opinion on this, and I'd greatly appreciate it if someone could get back to me.
I have always considered myself a safe individual. Of my three anal sex experiences I used condoms, and also used condoms on and off with oral sex, although I have for the past year always used condoms for oral. Oral sex is as far as I go with sex, so I never though I'd be at risk for HIV, especially when it comes to masturbation.
I ended up masturbating two guys which I do not know the HIV status for. I did not even bother to ask since masturbation is the safest of all sexual practices. However after the first man ejaculated over my hands, I took a piece of paper to clean up my hand and realized what I had forgotten. Three hours earlier at work I had abraded my left hand against a wall chipping off part of the wall and my skin near my wrist. I bled minutely, so I simply ignored it. But three hours later, no crust had formed and the circular, redish lesion was plainly visible (about half a centimeter in diameter). I had already started to jerk the other guy off, but my worry grew so intensely that I had to stop and leave.
I do not remember if ejaculate actually ran over the abrasion/cut, but in any case I poured hand sanitizer over both my hands and also over the lesion which then burned intensely. Could I have then carried HIV from my fingers to my lesion together with the sanitizer?
I've read so many responses here about cuts, skin, but I truly am still not sure about this. People on other forums claim that transmission is inevitable, while most here seem to agree that it is simply impossible.
When is the soonest I could go for a quick test? is it truly 6 days?
Someone said that only a cut as large as the need to run to as hospital is actually capable of transferring HIV. What size of a cut or abrasion is truly conductive of hiv? and how long does hiv stay alive for outside the body? Does it die immediately when it touched my hand due to a ph and temperature change or does it survive up to 10 hours like some claim?
I thank you in advance for your help.
