tongue ring question

Hi guys,I hope this is not to silly a question to ask,but i have high anxiety when comes to anything to do with HIV,anyway my question is,is it possible to catch HIV from kissing a girl with a tongue ring?I didnt even know she had one until the middle of kissing, anyway just curious because I was wondering about blood from the piercing and all those crazy stuff, the next day I asked her how long did she have it and she two years,so i guess it should be healed by then huh, anyway still curious.I know they said you cant catch hiv from kissing, hoping its the same with a tongue ring.

Those two cases were later disputed. Neither had the same strain.

There is only one documented case of a woman catching HIV from kissing, where both she and the partner had severe gum disease (http://www.thebody.com/content/art2287.html).

Considering that in 2007 it was estimated that 36.1 million people live with HIV, even if this case was beyond doubt (and I can't help being a tiny bit skeptical) you can't get more unlikely odds than that. After two years the piercing would be perfectly healed anyway, so there is no risk at all on that front.
