thax alot but i heard from many doctors that hiv PCR RNA can show hiv in early stages and the window period of this test is 14 days only  i just wanted to be sure and im an architect and im studying now to be a doctor i have alot of information about it that i just wanted to be sure  pcr dna is for baby born.. rna for diagnose early    p24 antigen that i did between ten to 16 days after sex it will be positive then it will be negetive and antibody will be positive . a pcr rna has a 10 perc false positive but not false negetive but i did 3 times and it was negetive  now its 3 month and i think you know what is p24 antigen these are protiens that create after infection and before antibodies create so when after 2 month and half my protien p24 is negetive and pcr rna  ho come antibody becomes positive in 3 month (for me now)    i know that now im negetive also but im scared about another 3 month to wait (((because i did pcr rna  1 proffesor told me))

If you want to ask an expert/doctor, it costs $20 and they are located on the expert forum. This is the HIV Prevention Community forum, and people such as Lizzie may not be doctors, but they are very well educated on this subject and they are willing to dedicate their time to helping others by assessing their risks and giving advice.

Lizzie is well aware that HIV has a testing window period of 3 months.

I am not a doctor, but I am a nurse and I will tell you that PCR tests are not diagnostic tests for HIV. The only way to know your status is to get an HIV antibody test at 3 months after your last possible exposure. If you have further questions to be answered by a doctor, please post on the expert forum.
