condom broke

What do you think? I was in Thailand and I had anal sex with a prostitute and the condom broke, I had not *** we noticed it during sex. I asked if everything was ok she said no problem and showed me a paper which said she had tested negative for HIV recently. Does anyone think that could be dodgy or that in all probabblity she was straight up?

Your odds are better than if you had unprotected anal insertive sex but there is still a risk.
If you want to play the odds game I'm sure your local turf accountant would be glad to take your bets on the racing.

Thanks and yes I can see that there is some risk, any idea of the odds? I have seen a few of the numbers on the forum, but not one for this scenario. I will certainly get tested, but I need a couple more weeks to hit the three month period.  Would appreciate some feedback.

Do not use someone elses test results as a proxy to determine your own infection status as their results would not indicate recent infection when viral loads are higher.
You did have a risk, though the brevity of the suspected exposure would be in your favour. You'll still need to sit out the window period and have safer sex - if having sex - from now on.
Use appropruiate condoms (heavier duty ones for anal) correctly for anal and vaginal sex with appropriate lube (water based fe.g. KY for latex). Sputum or oils are not appropriate lubes.
